Lunes de inspiración: mapas, mapas, mapas

¡¡Hola a todos!! ¿Cómo va el inicio de la semana? Por el centro de España estamos teniendo un día bastante fresquito y con lluvia, aunque tampoco nos podemos quejar, porque más al norte incluso ha nevado (me da frío solo de pensarlo). Hoy escribo mientras le doy unos sorbitos a una taza de té de frambuesa, fresa y moras rojas. Si por mí fuera, hoy me quedaba toda la tarde en casa viendo blogs, escribiendo o curioseando por internet, pero la vida continúa, y nuestras obligaciones no desaparecen por arte de magia...

La semana pasada encontré medio de casualidad en Pinterest un mapa de Italia que me encantó. No era un mapa al uso, era una pequeña obra de arte con mucha personalidad en la que el artista mostraba, en cierto modo, su visión general de Italia. Como me gustó tanto, decidí investigar para ver si había más mapas de este estilo... ¡¡Y aquí tenéis el resultado!! Espero que os gusten. A mí me parecen geniales, con esa pequeña pincelada a caballo entre lo naíf y lo kitsch.

Hi everyone!! How's the week gone so far? Here in Madrid we're having a rather cold and rainy day. However, we shouldn't complain because in the north of Spain it's even snowing (just the thought of it makes me feel cold). As I write I am drinking a cup of raspberry, strawberry and loganberry tea and if I could, I would spend the whole evening just like this: reading blogs, writing or nosing around the internet, but I guess that would be too perfect to be real... Plus, obligations don't disappear as if by magic.

Last week I came across a map of Italy on Pinterest. I loved it because it was not a usual map, it was a little work of art full of personality in which the artist showed her vision of the country. I liked it so much that I searched for similar maps of other countries and cities... And this is what I found! I hope you like the maps I've chosen. I think they're gorgeous and I love those naif/kitsch reminiscences.

Lunes de inspiración: hiperrealismo

Ayer tuve la suerte de visitar la exposición Hiperrealismo 1967-2012 en el Museo Thyssen. Me quedé tan sorprendida con los cuadros que hoy voy a compartir algunos de lo que más me gustaron. Parecen fotos, ¿verdad? Os animo a todos a que vayáis al Museo Thyssen a verlos en directo, merece muchísimo la pena. Espero que tengáis una buena semana :)

Yesterday I went to see the new exhibition at the Thyssen museum, Hyperrealism 1967-2012. I was so amazed by the pictures that I am going to share here today some of the works that I enjoyed the most. They look like photographs, don't they? If you have the chance, go to see this exhibition at the Thyssen museum, it really worths it. I hope you have a nice week! :)

Recetas con fresas para el fin de semana

Hoy me apetecía compartir algunas recetas fáciles o razonablemente fáciles para hacer con fresas. Hace un par de semanas que las fresas han llegado a la mayoría de las fruterías (bueno, hoy en día ya sabemos que se venden fresas en cualquier época, pero a precio de oro) y además ahora, con estas temperaturas casi veraniegas, apetecen postres algo más fresquitos. Las fresas con leche, con nata o simplemente con azúcar están buenísimas, pero de vez en cuando todos queremos innovar, preparar un postre especial en alguna celebración o sorprender a alguien, así que aquí os dejo seis ideas de postres con fresas para todos los gustos: un pastelito de hojaldre, limonada de fresa, vasitos de fresa para chupitos, polos de fresa y pomelo, polos de fresa con chocolate y sorbete de fresa. Today I'd like to share some easy (or more or less easy) recipes you can do with strawberries. It's been about two or three weeks since they've been available at the grocer's and now this warmer summerlike weather calls for more refreshing desserts! Strawberries with milk, cream or sugar are delicious but there are times when we all want to prepare something special, innovate or suprise someone with an original dessert. That's why I bring you 6 different ideas today: strawberry tart, strawberry lemonade, strawberry shots, strawberry and grapefruit popsicles, strawberry popsicles covered in chocolate and strawberry sorbet.
